What the hell?!

MosMum- you say you've seen/ used these methods before- do you agree with them?

Are there any situations where u would agree/ disagree with this?

I can see why it would be useful when mass- breaking wild horses, (I still don't like it mind) but the one which was demonstrated on was likely because it was in pain somewhere- that wasn't a wild horse (not wild in a long time anyway)

Sorry for the long list lol- I'm genuinely interested :)

I turned off as soon as I hear strap it`s leg up...easiest way to cure a bucking horse...get its back and tack checked you absolute numpty!

well, its not as if horses were designed/evolved with 4 legs for a reason right?

i joke, but it actually made me feel nauseous. i watched a fair bit of both videos, but wish i didnt. i was so horrified/disgusted that i couldn't move to click x.
ugh.
people like that are the reason that revenge/hell exist.

I've been very weepy lately and this made me had a full blown cry.

The hobbling is bad enough but to get on the horse with only 3 legs is disgusting! Poor horse, that man and anyone supporting him, shouldn't be within 10ft of a horse. Actually he shouldn't be near any animal.

I shall be very careful here.

I don't disagree with hobbling or tying up (like in the video) of horses in certain circumstances on certain horses.

I think the guy in the video should get some serious training on how to do this if he intends to carry on 'training' this way. He should NEVER tie up the leading leg, for instance, obviously mount with a loose girth, or mount from the ground. Many more issues with the vid but tbh the biggest issue is using hobbling/tying up on a horse with pain issues to begin with. I don't believe in the term 'cold backed'.

But, yes, I do think tying up and hobbling have their place, and have seen them do more good than harm when used correctly. For instance, a horse that won't let you near its head and can't cope with a headcollar but needs injections. If not hobbled the other option for vet care is to knock them out, which carries far more risks than hobbling. Many other situations including breaking wild horses in some cases but you get the idea I hope.

Ok, fire at will lol
