What the!? poor poor horses.

WHat on earth is wrong with people :(

I sincerely hope the horses in the worst condition - that poor bay :( - have been put out of their misery, I don't think that would be fair to keep the horse in agony that much longer :(
 
This quote from that article actually made me feel sick. What a horrendous woman, why hasn't she been stopped yet?

Thors seems to consider herself an expert in rehabilitating foundered horses by removing a large part of the hoof, using nippers and power tools. She reportedly cuts and sands the foot away until there’s essentially nothing left; horses have bled out or died from infections from being cut down to the bone. Photographs have emerged (on Thors’ own page) of the woman crouched down next to a horse lying on its side in a stall; Thors is beaming from ear to ear as she wields a Dremel tool. She’s posted videos to YouTube of her horses being lunged, visibly overweight and lame. Other horrifying videos have surfaced of Thors and a groom pushing/pulling a horse around a tiny barnyard; the horse is bandaged in vet-wrap up to its knees and is hobbling along on its fetlock joints. Photos show horses lying flat-out and bandaged in stalls, or suspended from the ceiling in slings. Everywhere, the horses are wrapped up to their knees, suggesting that they’ve experienced one of Thors’ own treatments.

Awful :( I think the worst part is that she genuinely believes she's done nothing wrong. Those poor horses. I hope the one with the infected hooves has been PTS - seeing the clip of it in a sling in the barn corridor was enough for me.
 
So I read this as the vile woman, purposely, overfeeds and over trims her horses, causing severe foot issues, that she then treats herself and calls herself an expert?

Absolutely mind blowing. This woman needs a taste of her own medicine, and soon.

Frustratingly, it only carries a 12 month max sentence which no doubt she won't get. Disgusting. At least it now says she is being charged and the animals removed
 
You can actually get on her own fb page, she is fighting back and seems to think everything is fine, just "trying to clear my name". The photos are just weird - the ones that aren't horrific - and she has been asking for donations and money for a long time for some video. Surely she must be seriously ill, I can't believe a sane person could behave like that :-(
 
I would imagine she has a mental condition where she feels powerful when she is giving treatment? The barn looks immaculate, she may believe she is FAB. I am glad the horses have been removed and hope she gets treatment, and supervision to make sure this never happens again either with horses or any other living creature.
 
I know what I would like to do her, and I also know that she wouldn't like it - at all.

Those poor horses, I just hope, as so many others do that they have been put out of their misery.
 
A friend of mine knows her and apparently Monica contracted Lyme Disease a few years ago and she never recovered from it and they think that is why she's mentally unstable. The news yesterday was that all horses had been seized, two to be euthanized, and NJ SPCA are planning a prosecution. As to the employees, they are mostly Mexicans; often employed in the horse industry over here and many are treated as second class citizens so they can't really speak up.

The videos show a lot of very pottery/footie if not lame horses.

MOST OTHER HORSES ARE LONGEING ON A REGULAR BASIS GETTING READY TO RACE
I DID HAVE TWO HORSES THAT WE PUT DOWN DUE TO FOOT INFECTIONS FROM A GLUE I USED , AND I DONT HIDE THAT ,,,NEVER DID'

If that horse had contracted tendons and you cannot afford surgery you PTS :( - I thought that only occurred with youngsters though?

That poor horse in the sling he was standing on the front of his fetlocks! !I cant believe she has been doing this to her horses for so long and no one did anything, :(
Its like something out of a horror movie sick woman.
 
Well I think it's likely she's seriously unhinged .
But poor horses it makes me feel sick .
I hope she never gets near a horse again .
 
I think those of you who have actually opened the link are very brave. I feel sick just reading the responses. WTF is wrong with people? Totally unbelievable. I hope there's some way in which she can be banned for life from keeping animals ....

Yes, I had to stop watching the videos, it takes a lot for me to be unable to watch but these were just too much - horse after poor horse moving so unnaturally. The other thing that struck me in the photos and videos was the extraordinary muscle definition/tension over the shoulder compared to the flabby untoned hindquarters - shouts more than anything the intense pain the poor creatures are in :-(
