What time did you see to your horses today??

The ones we have on yards were done today, I saw the 2 out 24/7 at about 11, en route to lunch. There was mounds of hay left all over and they were off digging in the snow for frozen grass. They came over for scritches and to check if we had exciting bucket food, then ignored the new hay we put out completely and went back to digging for frozen grass!

Up the yard at 7.30am, turned out, mucked out, hayed and made up feeds for 4 horses done by 9.00am.

Brought in about 4.30pm - same again tomorrow as I am giving my friend Christmas off so she can relax a bit ;-)

Minus 15??? OMG! And there I was moaning at minus 2 this morning! lol.

Anyway, I went from 12-3ish, because Claude's spoilt. He got hay chucked out in the field this morning, so he was happy along with his chums :)

-17 is mental! We were complaining about -8!

Didn't get up to see Hugo again today - it is just too slippery and the lane is too steep - you can't get up! OH tried to go for his usual 'power walk', slid to the end of our road and turned back home.

half 8 and half 4 - i also lunged her twice (she was bonkers! as shes been in for a week)!

made my non horsey mother very nervous when my horse decided to bronk around the arena :D :D :D lol

Got there just after half 9, instructor had already hayed them. But he was stood at his door waiting to go out, still with half a net which is amazing as normally it's all gone in a flash!

So turned them out, mucked out, did nets and feed. Was going to go back about half 3 like normal to bring in but instructor said she'd bring him in.

normal times for me, let my son off early duties to play with toys -got my jobs done quicker but missed him being around but he came to bring in

Got up at half 6 started work at 7 (live on the yard) and did 60 horses (water and feed) and skipped out the work horses and mucked out mine and my friends :),, did them again at 3 :)

Mine live out at MIL place so we got there at 12.30 and hubby hayed, fed and watered them and gave out Christmas treats, while I prepared the lunch and watched from the window. Its only - 1 today, but it has been down to - 14. I think we may have a bit of a thaw tomorrow. Mine are only eating about half a bale of hay each so there is loads left in the shelter every day. Must be scratching up some grass from somewhere.....

I did mine about 9 o'clock then was back at 3 to finish off but didn't leave til nearly 5, hence Christmas dinner was rather late-oops! I was helping the groom: one girl came up at about 11 then didn't come back up-her horse was in all day and we discovered he had no hay/water so we did him extra.

I was up today at 9 and she hadn't been back yesterday because she'd been drinking! The poor ruddy horse was still stuck in at 10 o'clock this morning, kicking the crap out of his door when there's no reason she couldn't come, living 10 mins walk away.:(

Usual routine for ours today. 3 stabled and 17 out in three locations one of which we have to drive two miles to. Start at seven and usually finished at about 11 30am. Start pm routine about three finish at about five then I do the late checks around 10 before I go to bed. Ponies dont know about Christmas!!
