Carrying from earlier post today, what time do you get your horses in on a night?

I get back to get my horse in at about 5.40pm - 6.00pm. On days off, I get in at about 4pm.

well Marley lives out and Ted is currently on livery with my instructor due to my injury and being unable to care for or ride him for the short term. but Ted when hes with me simply comes in when it starts to get dark

I get to the yard about ten past five. Couple of the others arrive about twenty to six and we all catch in together so nothing is left out on its own. Weekends is usually a little earlier but same principle.

Summer they'll either live out or come in at 9pm, winter they come in before dark- so normally around 3pm. But they go in pens/loose on the yard then get stabled for the night when I finish work at 5pm-ish. Then me and mum take it in turns to go up at 9pm and skip out.

When I finish work at 5pm, she comes in for about 5.45pm. When I finish at 6pm, she comes in at about 6.45pm. I always feel awful as apparently she's waiting at the gate when everyone else brings theirs in at about 5, but by the time I get there she's toddled off to eat the grass again so she can't be that desperate!

prob about half 6 by the time iv mucked out. I'm the only DIY and all the part liveries are brought in at 4 which is too early for me

) In the summer as late as poss if not living out!

Mine gets brought in at about 3.30 at the mo. I'd like it to be later, but she has to come in through the village (and a main road) so I can't do it when I get back from work as its dark

I've just brought mine in. Mine are at home so I don't have to worry about one getting left out alone etc. I usually bring them in so I just have enough time to poo pick the field afterwards before it gets completely dark.

About 6 - 6.30pm - for our convenience so we can have the rest of the evening to ourselves - well until OH does bedtime hay at 10pm. They are just across the lane so it doesnt involve much effort! We are an hour ahead of you over here so it is actually still light until about 6.45pm at the moment. We never get that dark at four o'clock thing that you do in the UK.

YO brings them all in just before it gets dark, around 4:15 I think, I get down to muck out around 5:45 so there stood without any hay until I get down....not that it will do them any harm though, there well covered!

Normally 6.30-7pmall yr but at the mo for the next 2 months i am having them bought in at 3pm otherwise they hang round the gate for hours and end up fighting.

Mine goes out some time between 7 and 8am in winter and comes in between 3 and 4pm. She starts to queue at the gate around 2pm. In summer she's brought in around 8am and goes out again at 3pm.

They go out between 7.45 and 8.30 ish... they come in at about 3-3.30pm. Would like it to be later but if they're in the village obv have to come before it gets dark. Same principle with it even if they are in yard fields, by the time they are all in and fed it's dark.
