Those that keep their horses in at night, what time do you go up in the morning to turn out at the weekend?

I'm just wondering really :)

My horse gets fed by my friend at 6am on a weekday and then i'm up about 7am to ride and turn out.

On the weekends I allow myself a little lie in and I get up to the stables at 7.30 where my horse gets fed by me and turned out/ridden ect. I don't really like leaving him in much longer as it feels such a long time from 5/6pm. As it is, at the weekend he still gets fed 1.5hrs later than in the week.

What time do you go up?

*Every now and again my mum/friend turns out at the weekend so I can have a complete lie in! I think my OH would disown me otherwise!! My friend/mum would feed and turn out at a similar time to myself :) *

I would be like you if my horse would stay out on his own without waking all the neighbours up screaming his head off on his own. So he goes out at about 7.45 all the time now! :)

Same time as weekdays really I try to keep it within the same hour everyday, he pretty much copes until about 7:3o, so everyday were up there or he starts eating his haynets (the actual net) his buckets and anything else he can reach :p

Im lucky that my horse is fed every morning for me so I get a bit of a lie in at weekends. I aim to be there no later than 9am, didnt get to bed til nearly 3am last night :), I then ride, turn out, muck out, go home, have breakfast/dinner, go back at 4pm ish, get in, feed, go home. Horse is checked later by YO.

On weekend I get to the yard around 8 when I pop Lacey in the play pen for an hour to mooch around and digest her breakfast whilst I do my chores, mucking out, poo picking etc. Then she's tied up in the yard for a good groom etc.
She's then normally ridden at 9.30 (when other people arrive to hack with) so then after she's ridden quick brush off and in field so turned out in field around 11.30/12 ish. Then generally out until 5/5.30

On a weekday turned out about 8.00/8.15 then in any time between 4 and 5.30.
When days are longer she's out longer.

Think I'm very lucky, drop kids off at school weekdays and am at yard by 9am, she's been fed and not stressing, then give her haynet and ride. Weekends am a bit later, often don't get there until 9.40 and as long as I've left hay with her breakfast then she's fine. She's actually very good about staying in and would be happy all day as long as she has food!!!

Mine's turned out during the week by YO before 7am. On the weekend I usually get to the yard around 8:30, but YO gives them all breakfast at the usual time and a haynet I leave for him. I'm usually doing something before I turn him out anyway (hacking usually). He's not too bothered providing he's got enough hay, especially as most of his field and stable mates are also in later at the weekend.

My weekend routine used to be: Sat; feed at 7.30, turnout from 9-12, ride 1-2 turn back out from 2.30-4.30 ... Sun; turnout from 2-5. I liked my we routine and will probably used it on my new horse if i get one lol

If they're in, always try to get them out by 8.30 latest - mostly because the more awake they are the more they trash the place!

But atm they're all out (apart from last night) and they get seen to any time between about 6 and 10! Normally in the morning its just a flying visit, then when we do our afternoon trip we poo pick. But we all work such funny shifts that we're always there at stupid times!!

depends on the weather, in summer YO turns out at about 6am, we bring in at just before dusk. now its all wet and wintery in week either YO or my mum turnout at about 9ish and weekend i turn out about 9-9.30 unless its raining like this am in which case they stop in until about 10 to see if it will stop...today they have just had doors opened and gate into field open(stright off side of yard) so if they dont want to be out they can get back in!! SPOILT oldies!

ETA in middle of winter dont go out if yard icy...my old boy would happily live in 24/7 even now its from his showing days i think!!

during the week yard staff TO for me anytime between 8.30-9am as they have lots of horse to organise ( he is fed at 8am by them) then at weekend its up to me but i like to stick to his routine so up at 8am to feed, let him digest it then out at 8.30. The other livieries drive me mad as they dont appear til 11am usually and though they are full livery and and i am the only DIY, TO seems to be something they think is optional for them on weekends so they dont seem bothered!

Weekdays horse is out by 5.30 (if stabled at night) and on weekends I am out to him by 6.30 usually and tacked up ready to ride for 7. As the mornings get darker I muck out first then ride.

Same as in the week for my lad...he is in at night all year to restrict his grass intake. So I get to the field at 5.30am and either hack out before work in the lighter months or in winter he is turned straight out as too dark to ride on the lanes. Then he comes in at 7-7.30pm every evening.

I am lucky as the two veterans are turned out for me at around 9am every morning by my sister, I then go up at about 3pm in the week to muck out and about lunchtime at the weekend.
