I have read a few bits online about this but it has all been people moving from on livery yard to another. But I'm moving from our own stud and am only moving until May. Still not decided if DIY or Full. Can anyone think of things other than tack, brushes. Also what rugs to bring at the start do I bring his lightweight, medium weight and heavy weight or leave them at home and drive the hour home when they are needed?

Check out how much storage room you get, but normally would have all the horses stuff there. Mine has lots of rugs, first aid kit, bandages, tack, grooming kit, lunging stuff etc. I'm quite new at this so I'm sure others will have a longer list! Hope the move goes well.

Take what your horse would need to cover his daily issues, i always keep a bamdage and some bute, i believe they would suffice in the event of an injury until the vet came, but i wnt leave my full first aid box as it sure as hell would grow legs and walk. If i have 2 tubs of hoof moisturiser i take just 1, hope you get the picture. Also if you are diy please provide your own wheel barrow and fork and brush, nothing worse than being another diyer and finding your stuff being used by those that dont have their own. Do not be afraid to let it be known that it is diy and therefore your stuff belongs to you, because i like the excuse who pays for the flat tyre that is sure to happen, they tend to leave my things alone now.
