I'm mind boggled at the number of clippers and trimmers out there. Haven't a clue what to buy.

I have a heavy duty set of mains clippers but want something light and cordless to use for trimming leg feathers and heads, etc. for showing. Horse is WB so not thick coated.

Any suggestions which ones to look at? Would 'trimmers' be suitable for clipping feathers off? To me they look like they wouldn't be much cop.

Thanks

I have the Liveryman Element Trimmers and they are fab. The also come with diffrerent guards so you can get the finish you want. IMO they are more than up to the job you want them for.

Got some Moser Arco ones as a present and I have to say they're brilliant - very quiet, blades stay sharp, comfortable to handle and get into awkward places.
I use mine regularly through the show season as QHs have to be trimmed everywhere for shows, and have had them about 8 years with no problems.
Would be interested to know how much they cost as will be paying for them myself next time!!
