I have a friend how has just moved to newmarket who was teaching around Wiltshire and is trying to start up teaching around the area.

He was taught and also ridden for Mark Todd and also trained with Emile Fauire both for may years, he is a very good teacher and he has asked me to put the word around he is available to teach lessons or to do any schooling him self. He can teach or school horses for dressage, show jumping or XC.

We are both unsure what he should charge as he is new to the area and needs to build his reputation up. I have said around £25 - £30. I need your help, what should he charge. He does not want to go too cheap that it not worth his time but also does not want to over price himself. If any body is interested in using him on here just PM me.

Any advice on what he should charge would be very much appreciated.

Also in Comp riders.

does he have any formal qualifications or just teaching from past experiences just wondering some of the best teachers I know have no formal quals but generally charge less

I think £30 is a fair price

He has no formal qualification, just trained and ridden for some of the best riders around and has teached for the past few years in his spare time. Even with no qualifications I find him to teach 100 times better than some of the idiot teachers I've had in the past with qualifications.
