what to do about excitable show pony

hi, i have a 148cm bay show pony and we recently when off showing for the weekend, i found her very excitable and was antisapating the canter in her show. i was wondering whether any one knew of any tips/feeds/calmers that might help me , thank you

my pony isnt exactly a show pony but what i find is really good is NAF instant magic calmer great for my pony as hes not on feed
just make sure you ue it properly, i give it to him 1hr before he goes in the trailer and then he is excellent for the show

Hi we tried various calmers for ours but nothing helped, he is better now, just lots of outings till it all became routine!

Do you always do the same show? It could be she's learnt what you do!

how long did you work her in for and what kind of thing did you do in your warm up? Did you take her for a wonder round the show ground to help her acclimatise and relax? Perhaps try lunging her first.
