This christmas we are going away for the first christmas in years, we are taking horse with us as Granny has a stable and paddock
. However the neighbours to the field informed my uncle that they would be having fireworks on xmas day because it was the child's birthday. Don't really know what to do because they aren't willing to compromise, the other side is a dairy farm and so poor farmer will be dealing also with unsettled cows. I know they were polite enough to tell us but still think they are ignorant townies
. The stable literally backs onto their garden, and horse is usually laidback and not too worried by fireworks we haven't let them off within feet of her and this obviously isn't home so she will naturally be a bit worried anyway! Not only that stables are wooden as well which obviously there is a small risk of fire. grr stress! So what to do? Can't leave her at home as we keep her at home and unfair to ask anyone else to do her at christmas, thought perhaps if they told us when they are doing it we go for a drive in trailer for half an hour or only other thing would be poss sorting out a short stay holiday livery at a local yard- so if anyone knows anywhere willing to do holiday livery over xmas either DIY or full near witney, oxon.
