I feel like I need a bit of a plan!

I'm wondering if I should focus on SJ or Eventing. This summer I mainly SJ'd and Badger did really well, although I never dare go further than discovery! Wimp!

I did a couple if intro's both of which he had a silly run XC, but he gave me a very good feeling on both runs. We need work on the dressage though although not terrible.

Badger has ample ability to do either, probably to a fairly high standard, I'm probably more of an XC rider than a show jumper, but definitely not a dressage rider!!!

What do you guys think me and Badger should do??

Blummin eck - Nov is a long way off - we haven't got a clear in an intro yet!

I think with a bit more control and training he could be a great XC horse though, he really loves to gallop and take you into the fences.

From the hunting and TC I've done with him nothing is too big, even when he's on his own, but he's not quite getting the point of little jumps stuck in the middle of a field yet!

Hows Godders?? Is he still on his hols?

Lol!! Yeah I know but you know eventing is FAR more fun than sjing, and the small fence in the middle of a field thing is just control...it will come!

Godders is wild and hairy in a field still

He is coming back into work next week

I miss riding him! A friend came and saw him yesterday and said how much he seems to have grown into himself, and he seems to want to work now, so all good

He has a winter of Dr Sjing and bloodhounding to look forward too
smile.gif

I bet he's looking forwards to the blood hounding more than the DR!

We were going to go with the readyfield today but our wiper motor burned out on the wagon.... good job because I got hammered last night! But it didn't rain anyway!

Do you think? I was thinking of doing that last season but chickened out!

I know for a fact he will never go clear SJ at intro - they are just too small and he doesn't make an effort!

Will have a think... thanks!

Lol! Probably, I probably wont, you want to hunt a mad coloured thing?!!
tongue.gif
Let me know when you are out! I should be out before Xmas on a borrowed pony anyway
smile.gif

Haha, you could have a competition with Rosiie for the most mad coloured horse hunting!

Badger is sort of well behaved, in a very fast, out of control way!
tongue.gif
Good job I like it that way!
grin.gif

Lol!! Yeah prob could, Oshk is a seasoned version of G out hunting I think! G thinks he is a racehorse and wants to be up front all the time

Got to sort brakes out before i go out with him again, although he will prob be a gentleman this year (fingers crossed!!)

He hasn't done a huge amount of XC, although his jumping is very established from all his hunting. But I think your right, intro is a bit tiddly, at least if we did cr*p round a PN it would be more of a challenge!

Why not do a bit of both? I do with mine - I usually BSJA all winter, then horse gets a month or two off in Feb / March, then does a few BE things over the spring / summer / autumn but with BSJA in between whenever I can fit it in. Although, I do watch how much BSJA I do in the summer due to the hard ground.
