What to do to help sheath swelling?

My yearling was gelded just under two weeks ago, and last Saturday his sheath was HUMUNGOUS. I have had the emergency vet out who has given him antibitotics and has encouraged getting Bailey to run around when I am there. I am doing this but am wondering if anyone else has any tips for things/exercises to do which may help in reducing the swelling further? The wound itself has healed quite nicely

Also, if anyone has any experience of how long it may take for his sheath to get back to 'normal' I would appreciate that as well!

How many hours a day is he out for - the more out, but quicker the swelling should go down.

he is out 24/7

The vet thought it quite odd that he should swell up so much when the castration was 10 days prior to that.

ours did that after he was gelded got an acess keep him moving as much as you can is all you can do really and make sure the anti biotics have cleared any infection
