What to do with a goat

I feel a bit like im playing piggy in the middle.

Old YO has a goat that TBH is pretty knackered. When she moved the plan was for me to take the goat over to her new home once she had settled in. New YO wants rid of the goat so I rung old YO to see if I could take her over. Now new YO thinks she will be lonely and is trying to find a new home for her, meanwhile im still looking after her which I really dont mind doing as she just gets on with life.

Does anyone know of any retirement homes for goats in Yorkshire?
 
Ive had a look on google but couldnt find anything. I might try having a drive around seeing if I can spot anywhere that has goats.
I dont think anyone will want her though because shes had a few accidents, bless her. She has 3 bent legs, 1 eye and no horns. Shes the unluckiest goat in the world but shes happy.

(Most goats have no horns, they are disbudded at birth as they are pretty lethal to each other and humans with horns. We bred one last year, and allowed her to keep her horns, as we believe they are necessary to her cooling mechanism. We are now persona non grata in the goat world LOL) (Do we look like we care?)
The bent legs and the missing eye do sound unfortunate!
How old is she, what breed? I'd have her but I'm way too far away, poor duck, but if you ask some local goat people, I'm sure someone will take her.
PS has she been dewormed? Goats can go down hill alarmingly if wormy, and pick up equally alarmingly when dewormed.
 
I hope you have all the movement forms! You will need three to move her and the premesies that she's moved to and from need a holding number....and then there are the ear tags!
 
Not really sure of her age, shes been with us around 10 years. She was found on the railway line and so rescued by us. No one came forward when we advertised her as found. Im pretty sure shes a pigmy(sp) goat, shes the nicest little thing but very timid. I have no idea about the worming, old YO would take care of all that.

that's true, actually, You have got her tagged and registered to a holding number, haven't you?
Otherwise you could be in rather a lot of doo. And yes, you do need movement forms. And then there's whether or not you are in a Bluetongue Zone ..... how did you get your self tangled up in all this?!
 
I was asked if I would look after her while old YO settled into her new house. TBH im starting to think she had no intention of taking the goat with her

I contacted a man last night who said he would take her. He has a few goats who roam free on his land, it sounds perfect for her. I just need the holding number for the yard then he will sort everything out.
