Hi Guys,
Some of you may have read about the trials and tribulations of my gorgeous unbacked 4yr old gelding who injured himself in the field in February and took a fair while to come sound.
He has been turned away with my folks in Wiltshire since September and with the help of a feed supplement and a fair bit of Dr Green he is now sound! Sadly my folks are seperating and can no longer have him there.
This is all unfortunately coinciding with me starting a full time job that has a hefty commute, which means I don't have time to do anything with him at the moment (although I will once the nights start drawing out again) So I can't decide whether I should sell him, turn him away down here, get him started or something else all together??
1. Sell Bentley "as seen" from the field
2. Find a field and shelter to rent so he can be turned away until the summer (obviously I'd check him daily!)
3.Find a livery and pay to have him 'started'
4. Put him on DIY livery and accept my responsibilities!!
My concern is that there is obviously a small chance he will go lame again when brought into work, and I would hate to pass on 'my problem pony' for someone else to have to PTS
... but I'm also aware that when buying most people would rather have a completely unbacked horse to start, and so I'm not sure starting him would make him undesirable anyway?
Hmm I hope I've made myself clear?
Any help appreciated
