I have had my 7year old tb for 2 years now, before i have had her she raced and then got blasted around fields for a few months, put in foal then i bought her.

She is such a lovely sweet little horse but she is a nightmare to ride. Since last year i have been bringing her back into work slowly just walking around hacking etc. She is very spooky and broncs as soon as she is unsure about something.

I am considering sending her away to be a broodmare, i don't really want to sell her as like i said she is very sweet but i think she need wind down time and a bit more time to mature mentaly as she acts like a just backed 3 year old.

How does it work sending them to a stud? Or any other ideas?

If she has had a foal then she has had time presumably to wind down from being a racehorse. I would perhaps send her away to have some schooling professionally if you can afford to do it. Has she had all the usual back teeth and tack checks? The reason I ask is because you mention she is bucking. It could be green tb behaviour but I would still want to get her checked just to rule it out first.

Yep all my horses are checked regulaly but i got her done again to double check.
I have a 2 good friends who i trust and who definatley know what there doing on her and she is exactly the same.
They have just said that she is so behind with her traning and she is spooky at everything anyway so she litraly just needs to do everything really really slowly and at her pace which it was 7 months of walking before we even attempted a tiny trot and she totally blew up and went 5 steps backwards.
