This will be my first bonfire night with Millie and I'm not sure what to do with her. The entire yard is being kept in overnight anyway but I don't know whether it not to give her a couple of ACP or not? She is quite a steady mare, but she has got the TB mentality on occasions!

Unless you know that her neighbours get upset at fireworks, I would just keep her routine normal and leave her to it. IME very few horses get upset if the horses around them don't care. It only tends to be those who have had some kind of bad experience which do worry. Ours usually stand outside watching the show between mouthfuls of grass.

This ^^
I'm not a fan of doping them up for no reason. Most horses are used to it now, they tend to have grown up with it from being foals so shouldn't be any more traumatic than a thunder storm or similar. (Unless obviously the firework display is right outside the stable!)

Horses seem to worry far less about bonfire night than we do.

I'm sure she'll be fine.

Agree :)

I got my horse last year on bonfire night, he's a TB, and had travelled about 3 hours to come to a yard that was surrounded by loud bangs etc, he was fine. Jumpy for about 10 minutes and then proceeded to eat haylage for the rest of the night. :D
