I have some old fashioned traditional showing/hunting leather boots that never fitted too well and so now I've upgraded to a new pair that do fit, what can I do with the old ones? Do people even want these style boots anymore or is it modern styles only that people are interested in? I've got them up on preloved and will do the local Facebook group but didn't know if there was somewhere bit more specific I might move them on? (They're well worn and tbh I don't even really want/expect much money for them but seems a shame to bin them!)

agree stick them on ebay, I actually prefer the pull on type leather boots to the zip up ones of today my showing boots are a pull on pair of cavello that fit perfect and look smart.

if you have no luck selling why not donate them to one of the horse charities who has a shop. ada cole just outside epping (whih is now redwings) used to have a shop and i donated some things to them so they could sell and use the money....it would be such a waste to bin them...

buy some old fashioned wooden boot trees. fit inside. display in the hall along with a hunting whip, old barbour and walking stick.

After my horse was PTS I got rid of everything including my long boots, traditional garter strap variety. They were at least 15 years old but only ever used for shows and well looked after so they were in good condition. Where I work we have a market place on the website and I sold them and my real-leather seated jods to a colleague. I got £15 for the jods and £50 for the boots (which costs me £125 originally). I was pleased that the customer was pleased with her purchases and I was happy with what I got for them.
