I have one or two fairly new ish rugs that I bought my lad but they are slightly on the small side for him. So I am trying to decide what to do with them.
a) sell them - used so will have to add cleaning and p&p costs on top (only p&p for one as brand new).
b) swap them - run the risk of no-one wanting what I have for the size I am after.
c) just buy some chest extenders - £15+ each but I will need at least 2 of them, I do like the rugs so would prefer to do this but the extenders seem rather expensive.

Also can anyone recommend me a decent anti rub vest I have a weatherbeeta one but he still came out of winter with rubbed shoulders, he will be in rugs 24/7 so he definatly needs a better one than his current one.
Thanks

I think that by the time you add cleaning at around £10 & P&P on top, buyers could probably buy a new one for that amount, depending on the loss you are prepared to take.

at the end of the day if he has outgrown his rugs he needs ones that fit! mine are in rambos and fals and have never had rug rubs sores etc. bibs are fine on thin skinned horses whose rugs fit. but by the sound of your post your rugs are a tad small to start! good time to sell rugs now! i know fals and rambos are v expensive initially but thy do last, clean well etc. one of my fals is 14 years old and looks like new! so cheap year on year and so comfortable! worth the initial investment providing you dont have barbed wire?

Get new rugs, though in the meantime if you need to use rugs, get a bossy bib - I bought "seconds" at half the price from them, only difference is you can't choose the colour, other than that they are good as new!
