my TB came in lame from the field two weeks ago- nothing too bad but i thought i'd keep him in for a week or two. anyway...now i'm too weeks on and he looks totally sound. so what do i do now? try and walk him out for a week or just turn out? as soon as he goes back out he will loon around be it in a week or tomorrow. what to do?!!

i'd do a week of walking under saddle, maybe turn out in a tiny pen if you can but if he'll be a lunatic then not... then a bit of trotting, see how he feels really.
i'd treat it as if it's a worst case scenario and then whatever happens you won't make it worse...

ta K...somehow i've ended up with 2 posts on this...how i don't know the forum is wierd:confused:
horse won't entertain going out on his own and is a loon so will try walking him out this week (easier given that it will be light after work :D) and then assess whats happening. i'm away next weekend so might leave turning out until i get back....
