so i find myself in this situation......
My mum bought the heavy 7years ago as a family horse... Its been a rough few years but now i have him hacking on his own and in company with hardly any issues. My mum hasnt really ridden for5years cos she has had several operations and stuff but now hears and sees how good i've got pony and now has started sitting on in the school. this is great for her but im now worried that in a few months she will be doing more and more and next summer she will be hacking and everything and i am going to loose my pony!!!
So now what do i do? I have thought of the following.....
A. save like mad and buy my own horse...... Not sure about this as my job pays sh.t.
B. wait a few months and get one on fullloan to move to the yard i am on.
C. Buy a cheap youngster as project...not keen as although i have experience i need something that is resonibly well behaved so we dont upset the heavy.
D. a few months back i had to return a horse to a rescue center as i lost my job and being with me wasnt the best place for him anymore.. When he left a friend said i can share her horse ..... A very kind offer but i think i would be to heavy for him as he has been lame with his hocks and he has shoes on and that makes me nervous as several horses with shoes have been badly injured due to slipping cos wher we live its quite steep.
Sooo wat should i do???
