I love my yard, its small, theres just me and one friend, we get on really well but our horses cant go out together any longer as, mines a pest at times and her mare kicks and has cut him really badly a few times, so we always have to section the fields in half, which is fine, because we both have a shetty so they stay with her so she's not alone.
The yard is right next to my house, so good in the winter when it snows! we have 4 fields, 2 with shelters and 2 stables for storage, a massive barn for hay storage, its in a nice quiet village with no other horses but miles of off road hacking!
however, my parents have just decided to move back to our old house as this here is a business!
our old house is about 15 miles away, in another village but a massive busy one! I am currently working full time, then studying for my level 3 in hairdessing and working in a salon on a saturday! I have next to no time to myself, so think I need to move the horses back to the village where I'll be living.
but it will mean going back onto a yard and possibly having to bring them in a night, which I've not had to do with my mare for the last 10yrs as she used to get really stressed! The old farm where I used to have her doesn't have horses anymore, so doubt he will let me move back there, but he does any the yard that I am thinking of! Also the youngster has never been stabled.
The other thing that worries me is my youngster, because he can be a bit annoying, I don't want him to be a pest in the field and be difficult for other liveries to get their horses in and out! he's normally fine with our horses but was a pain for a while when another friends horse was turned out with him, but only at the beginning, once he realised the horse was going away and coming back, he was okay! but I do worry that if he's a ****** that people will get annoyed with him!
