Total newbie to the showing world and I'm looking for a bit of advice please. There is a riding club show next month and I've just bought a 4yo connemara. As he's young and green I'd like to take him out to a show and do something with him that isn't too taxing. There are no connemara type classes in this show but there is a sports pony section. He is quite fine, willing and well mannered and I think he'd do quite a nice in hand.
There is also a ridden class - however I'm not sure what would be expected of me (and pony) in a ridden sports pony class. Could someone help me please? He is nicely schooled and can jump beautifully.
