Ridden once a week on a easy going hack for 2-3 hours and sometimes schooled for 30 mins a week.

She is currently on safe + sound 3quaters of a scoop and 3quaters of a scoop of baileys no.4 top line qubes.

And the grass isnt very long...

Sounds like horse is doing very light work so I think I wouldn't feed a great deal of hard feed but plenty of hay; maybe a handful of something (non-heating cubes/ chaff) to mix in a good vitamin/ mineral supplement.

nothing unless the horse is underweight- mine horses on light work get no food and are working 6 days a week with long hacks and 45minute schooling sessions.

my horses in harder work only get fed for the nutrients and if they need extra weight/energy but they still don't get a lot.

it amazes me how many people feel it is necessary tp give a short feed everyday to horses who are in good health and doing a few hours work a week

Maybe either a small amount of chaff and pony nuts as a token feed with a vit/min supp added or a small amount of chaff and a low calorie balancer.

Agree with lo cal balancer mine are on it and look fab, their feet are the best they've ever been my ex racer is out of work so i have had her shoes taken off never thought i would be able to do that she used to hobble if she lost a shoe!!

Baileys No. 14 is fantastic especially if youve got any M&M ponies who are good doers. If you want a bit more add some ordinary pony nuts. Perfect for horses in light work. I feed it to all of mine. Adds fabulous Top line and coat shine and is great value for money (lasts long)

Hope ive helped x
