What hard feed do you use for your laminitics approved by the lamanitic trust. I feel it is time to add a little feed to my ponies diet as I think he is looking a bit poor for this time of year. He has been getting soaked hay and a little alfa lite with vits and minerals and very restricted grass. I have kept him sound since the attack in the spring, but don't want to have any setbacks so am looking to you guys to let me know what you find to be the best tried and tested. Thanks in advance and hot chocolate with marshmallows for your help.

Speedi Beet is good for lamiitics but if I were you, I would speak to your Feed Merchant as they can give you lots of advice on this.

What about a Balancer like Baileys Lo-Cal. It is improved by the Laminitis Trust and my Laminitic pony gets 2 cups of this each day all year round and he does fab on it! Another good feed which is approved by the Laminitis Trust is Happy Hoof.

I've been investigating this, assuming my mare survives her current laminitis.

I've heard good things about Speedi Beet, but my very picky mare won't touch it. Also tried Dobson and Horrell Safe and Sound. Again won't even consider eating it (I tried both for the last 3 weeks and each time I've ended up chucking it away  )

Anyway basically she's only had hay for about 3 weeks because she's so choosy. Today I picked up a sack of Happy Hoof and SHE LOVED IT! Hurrah!

Why do I get the pernickety horse?!
