My kids pony is roughly 28-30 according to the vet she was brought with a dodgy passport which says shes 16 so don't know exact age. I have noticed she is getting very stiff in her back end and clicking a lot more than she did so think it is time to give her some supplements. But what to I feed a 11.2hh sec A prone to a crest and slight laminitis. Can you get mobility lo cal balancers so she doesn't have to come in for a bucket feed everyday and have more feed than she needs (which is none :))
Thanks

There are some treats made by Spillers I think that contain Glucosamine, but they also contain molasses and I'm not sure how many you would need to feed to give a worthwhile dosage.

I have an old pony (also younger on her passport) who is laminitic and I give her a little unmollassed sugar beet ( kwik beet), hi fibre unmollassed chaff and a glucosamine supplement that I get off eBay from natural horse supplies. The beet is a good base to carry the supplement and you don't have to feed loads. I soak half a cupful of dry beet in the morning and add the supplement to this to feed later.
