ok I dont want to sound like a complete numpty here but I shall ask anyway :o
I have a connie gelding who I have had for 7 months when I got him he was huge and not in work so he got no hard feed just grass and he lived out. But now he is in at night, has lost all his excess fat and is in work so he is fit, he is now at the point where he is loosing a bit of weight in front of his hips so I think (and some others I have asked) he just needs a little something to boost him up untill he moves on to the spring grazing. So what can I feed him that will give him some more buzz when ridden and just add a little bit of condition?
I am having trouble choosing from all the options out there and as he didnt have any before and I dont realy know how much of a good dooer he is I'm not sure what range of feed to give him (if that makes sense). I can get some pictures tomorrow if needed but his ribs are easily felt and so are his hips.

I would change him onto haylage if he isn't already and just feed him cool mix and something such as alpha a once or twice a day. Once a day would be fine if he is getting lots of good quality haylage.

Hmmm.. When I decided to change my mares feed I posted on here and someone suggested emailing a few feed companies, so I did just that! I decided to go with a Dengie feed, they gave good advise and gave me a few options and sent me samples and more info. Just tell them everything you've just said on here :)

I really like Omega Rice by Falcon Feeds Imo a great little product for that bit :p of 'ping' without the 'kapow' :D
