So after reading some of the RAW sticky above it got me looking into how cr*p the commercial dog foods are, and would like some suggestions to alternatives.

The dog in question is a family members, who would have been mine had I been able to take her at the time she needed a new home so very attached and don't want her eating this rubbish!

She is currently on Pedigree Chum pouches, switching to raw is not something I will be able to convince them to do so am looking for the lesser of two evils, a 'dog meat' that isn't full of such rubbish!

Also anything that comes in pouches would be ideal, she's only a small terrier so perfect portion size/saves having grubby half eaten cans hanging around in the fridge!

Prize Choice or Freeflow pet meats, come in small frozen blocks wrapped in plastic, can buy a tray of twelve for under a tenner in most big pet shops, can be broken up to form smaller meals, you can get tripe, chicken, rabbit, fish etc.

Pets at Home own brand, Wainwrights, comes in trays that you use as much of as needed then can be left in the fridge for a couple of days. The meat content is very high and there are no nasties. My extremely fussy springer will eat nothing else currently.

Good for you going for a change. :)
