What to put on fly bites?

What do you put on fly bites?
My mare was bitten by a horse fly on her back last night - right where the saddle goes and it has come up in a lump that is nearly 2in across. She doesn't seem that bothered by it, but riding is obviously out for a couple of days, and we've got a show on Friday.
I've put aloe vera gel on at the mo, but anyone got any suggestions to make it go down quickly.

Either give her piriton or phone Helios Homeopathy and ask them for something.

i use the same u only need a tiny bit and it works great

I just use aloe vera and piriton as well if bites bad

Aloe Vera is one of the most effective methods IME.

I use naf D-itch on bites as it seems to be quite soothing could try an ice pack/cold compress to reduce inflamation.

Witch Hazel it cools immediately and the swelling soon goes down and its cheap.

I use a tea tree and arnica roll on, along with aloe vera gell, which cools and soothes straight away, but I like the sound of this Global Herbs cream, that a few people have suggested. I think that the fly bites seem to be alot more this year, than they have been in previous years.

we use germoline if the horse has rubbed it raw or normal human anthisan (antihistamine cream) otherwise.
