Doing 4 day ride along Ridgeway in 2 weeks .......

Any thoughts please ..... otherwise i'm going to have to fit a skateboard to bottom of feed bins / various supplements and drag it all behind us!

What do you feed and how is your other equipment moving from stop to stop? If its a small enough feed, when I've left horses for others to do at home I leave all dry feeds mixed together and labelled in medium or large freezer bags from the supermarket - would that be an idea?

Feed is currently: AlphaA, Conditioning cubes, sugarbeet, Profeet supplement, Superflex joint supplement.

Horsey is overnighting at 2 different livery yards and one B&B with stabling on-route.
I'm buying hay off them and was hoping to pinch a scoop of their pre-soaked sugarbeet... :-)

The alpha-a, cubes & supplements could be pre-mixed and freezer-baged - good idea!

I would pop along to the yards beforehand and drop off your feed etc. I did a week long trek in the black mountains a few years ago and I spent a day beforehand popping round to a couple of my overnight places to drop off feed/tent/etc

Also good to meet the people you will be staying with. Are you going on your own? I was pleased I had spoken to some of the people I was staying with before I got there each night.

I'd be pretty hacked off if someone turned up 'expecting' to be able to use some sugarbeet - and the answer would be no considering I soak the amount I need. I suggest you ring in advance and ask them if it would be possible, (which I would say yes to, for a small charge - but I'd need to know in advance) and drop off the feed in advance/put it in your dad's panniers.
