Also in Career section. So I have an interview at a tack store tomorrow but have no idea what to wear, any ideas? I normally wear a suit but think that may be a bit much for this kind of job but then what else to wear? Also what is the normal pay in this sector? Thanks

I would suggest looking at what people normally wear to work in a Tack Shop and replicating a similar, smart version for yourself.
ie: Staff would normally wear jeans, a polo shirt and fleece. You could wear smart casual trousers, a shirt and (if you need it) a jumper (not a fleece). I would also wear clean boots.

You won't look out of place but you'd present the best version of what's expected and all without over dressing and making the shop owner look like a scruff!

As for money, I would expect it to be quite low pay but would suggest that you wait for them to mention a rate.

Good luck - I hope you ge the job.

I would think wear a suit. It gives the impression that you are taking the job seriously and respectful of the employer.

When i worked in a tack shop i worse suit trousers and a smart top. Pay was just above minimum wage but that was expected.

Good luck!

I have worked in a tack shop for 8 years (3 years part time and now on a relief basis). I wouldn't suggest wearing a suit, but smart clothing.

Pay will be just above minimum wage I would have thought.
