What to wear for in hand showing?

Just wondering what to wear for inhand showing of a two year old? I don't want to break the bank as don't intend to do it too much just local level to get ponio used to the sights and sounds! It needs to incorporate black steel toe capped joddy boots Also what should the beastie wear? (Section D) Thanks

When i did in hand stuff with my tb I wore canary jods and shirt, navy hat and jacket and a matching tie/scrunchie/browband, not sure how correct that was
See quite a few people with a riding hat, shirt and waist coat and light coloured cords with short boots!

When i did it earlier this year just at local shows I was wearing tweed jacket and stock, beige jods, chaps and boots and riding hat.
my pony was wearing her bridle and a normal lead with a chain attachment but we got a comment that leather lead would be better so that has now been purchased as we are going affiliated!
Most people i saw in hand (that looked like they meant business!) were wearing like beige or brown work type trousers with shoes/ jod boots on. then the shirt and jacket and a topper or some other type hat.

This is what i wear to show my ponies they're all welshies...

If its cold I put my hacking jacket on instead of the waist coat...

thank you everyone- should be able to incorporate the steel toe caps in there! what about ponio- was thinking of the white halter like in the ic ?

Welsh Cobs should be shown in white halters if female or a gelding. It is also acceptable for a gelding to be bitted should you need the extra breaking power. All colts 2 years old + HAVE to be shown bitted. If you are going for the bitted option an In-hand bridle is to be used on youngsters, not a normal ridden bridle.

As for handler turnout, so long as you have smart trousers, shirt, tie and either perferably a waistcoat or a tweed jacket then a hat is optional so long as your hair is neat and tidy. Footwear is also what you can run in, again so long as they are clean and smart.
