Im taking my welsh A for inhand m + m class to a fairly big show but not as high as county level or anything. I bought smart blue trousers (pony has white socks) a yellow shirt and blue waistcoat last year as was told this is what to wear but all shows i have been to so far with him this year, everyone wears jodphurs, boots, white shirt and jacket so a bit lost as what to wear. This will be his biggest show so want to look right. Any suggestions?

that sounds fine to me, trousers will show off her white socks, maybe change the waist coat to a tweed jacket amd maybe add a smart hat to contemplate the outfit :)

Your outfit sounds very smart and correct,if you feel a little overdressed why not try a white or cream shirt, which will be less bright than yellow.
Have a good day.

Ok thank you. If i go with a cream shirt, does it have to be long sleeved with a waistcoat. Also what colour tie would you recommend as i was told red but seems a bit bright?

You are right they are wrong ! Can't stand jods inhand

If you have a subtle tie go with that

Have fun and pics of the day please x

I would go for blue tie, you could wear short sleeves but I think long are more correct. If this weather keeps going [its pouring here] you may be in a jacket anyway:D

Thank you everyone for your help, I went with the posh clothes, and we Won!! Out of 16 entries, chuffed to bits! If i knew how to put pics on i would!

Congrats - well done both :-)

I am sure you looked fab - loading photos you have to open a photo bucket account and then upload the image from your pc you then copy and paste the image code into the text body of the forum. Its easy once you've had a play about with it

Mission 1 - In hand showing

Mission 2 - uploading photo's of winning in hand showing !!

When i take my cob inhand i wear black cord type trousers, blue shirt and yellow tatterstall waistcoat. TBH i havent seen many people wear jods and boots for inhand??

ETA: just read your other post, well done!
