What to wear..Hunter trials..

What do you wear for hunter trials....Going to try and be brave and take part..my boy is good just wimpy mom on board..out hunting i just get on with it..but thinking about taking part in this makes me get a bit of a jelly belly..just some ideas is it crosscountry colours or tweed?? Thanks

Most HTs ive been to say "colours allowed but tweed prefered" so basically either

Most Pony Club ones say 'no XC colours'. So tweed it should be.

I usually put both in the car if I'm not sure, just to cover all the bases!

Oh really? All the PCs round us let you wear colours..

I've only ever seen one schedule that tells you to wear tweed jackets. I have always worn colours.
If I were you take both and see what people are wearing

I wore an x country shirt when I did a hunter trial last year.

I haven't seen a ht (pc or otherwise) insist on tweed for years, I'd be in trouble if the did as can't fit jacket over bp or bp over jacket

You don't need anything glamorous tho, I've seen plenty of people in rubgy shirt or sweater with a velvet hat cover.
Imo a stock is a good idea from a safety pov.

I have only seen tweed requested at actually local hunt - hunter trials (if that makes sense!) should say on the schedule but if not, I think the idea of taking both is a good one!
