Hi, I loan a horse at a Equestrian Centre and I’m taking part in a Riding Club Show Horse Class at a local unaffiliated show soon. I’m wearing a black jacket, beige jods, black hat and gloves, white stock and black show cane. Is this acceptable? I’m worried as others are wearing tweed. I would like to use a Micklem bridle as it’s the one my loan horse is used too and in better condition than the other bridle that is available for me to use. I have bought a coloured velvet browband to use with it. What do people think about using a Micklem for showing please?

Thank you. Riding Club Show Horse. I have another bridle I can use. What do you think about what I plan to wear?

What you have to wear is ok for local level but you might find everyone else will have a tweed on with a shirt and tie which is more correct.

You can pick up cheap shirts in the supermarkets as you only see the collar they are fine, ties are fairly cheap to buy as well just match it with your shirt.

Could you borrow a tweed?

What colour is your brow band? people often match there tie to that

Thank you. I have a navy/light blue/silver browband. I also have a matching tie. I will take a look on eBay for tweed jackets

I found this on preloved but it has a single pleat/vent at back. I am adult size 10/12 and not sure it would flatter?
