Hi,

I’m completely new to showing and this year id like to attend local shows to show my miniature pony inhand (he is black)

is this outfit ok to wear? I have beige jodphurs and some ankle boots to pair it with.

Am I allowed to wear these hats or do I need a hard hat?
Any recommendations on what i can wear will be greatly appreciated.

Are you showing a miniature horse or a miniature shetland? That does make a difference to what you wear.

Either way unless you are 16yo or under jods are an absolute no go for showing inhand. Kids wear them. Adults do not.

But again it depends on what type of mini you are showing as to what you would then wear on the legs.

For local shows you will be fine with that hat and jacket with either a fluffy fronted blouse or shirt and tie. I would fine some navy trousers to go with it and sensible boots for running in. Brown or navy blue gloves - never black. When you start going to Championship level the clothes you wear go completely ott!

Because he is an American Miniature Horse he can do foreign breeds classes. He can't do mini shetland classes.
