What to wear on bhs exam?

I just wondered what people have worn for their exams?

After I read up I bought myself a tweed jacket (have everything else) but have seen that some people just wear practical riding clothes???

I think it is smart and respectful to wear jacket beige johds/ breeches and tie althoguh you can wear a v neck sweatshirt. Speak to ruth83 or PM her she is an expert on BHS advise. Good luck which exam are you doing?

I wore a tweed jacket, and was pretty much dressed as if I was showing. It wasn't the most comfortable thing to wear.

I was planning on wearing the full showing attrire! When i spoke to a stand in instructor last week and asked her she kind of shrugged it off like it wasnt necessary and you should just wear smart practical riding clothes and i didnt want to turn up to the exam like a nutter in all the gear!
As you can tell this is stage 1 i have never done any type of horsey exams before!

Neat and tidy - shirt and tie with either a tweed jacket or plain v neck sweater, gloves, clean boots, hairnet or neatly tied back, no jewellery, minimum makeup. For care sections you can take off your jacket and replace with a plain gilet or outdoor jacket. Good luck!
