I local hunt do hound exercise at our yard 2 or 3 times a week. People wear cream/(smart) dark jods and then usually a dark jumper. They don't look show smart but are neat, respectable and tidy
I'd go more smart than less I was told by the hunt it was relatively casual but when I turned up I was the only one not wearing full hacking jacket etc!!
Same as Autumn hunting for us - coloured shirt, stock/tie, beige/cream breeches/jods, tweed jacket, brown boots although lits of people wear black boots. We did our first hound exercise this week and some people turned up in more casual gear - we got a distinct reminder about required attire with the instructions for the next one :-o!!
Hi folks, thanks for replies, I got a reply to my question about 9pm the evening before and was told neat and tidy...so had cream jods, black t shirt and fitted black waterproof jacket. Had we gone in tweed we would have looked silly as we were the only ones in cream jods as it was....had a ball too
