Hello :),
Okay first of all is anyone going to Penzance Horse Show on the 4th of August?

Now for my actual post..
I am in a little bit of trouble about what to wear ( for me and my horse! ) in my Open riding horse/pony class.
My horse is a Chesnut Tb - Awkward!.
My friend said that she is wearing a blue velvet hat ( with cream straps ) and either a blue or yellowish tie, Canary yellow jods,Boots,Gaiters & a showing cane... But her horse is GREY so much easier to match to! ...
So yeah any advice on that would be appreciated :)
And as for my horse im having to borrow a saddle as he has a riser normally :( and he has to have a Pelham for that class and then im going to buy/borrow a plain bridle and a bling browband but... what colour numnah and should I plait his mane and tail or pull the tail & plait the mane?
Thanks for reading!

Plain saddle-coloured numnah, shaped so it's very discreet under the saddle.

Plait both if you don't want to pull his tail, but you need to plait his mane.

What your friend is wearing is right, so mimic that :) A pelham is unnecessary for one show IMO if your horse is otherwise a snaffle mouth...

Had a mini stalk and yes it is you ;)
In my opinion Jack (that's his name if I remember rightly?) should be turned out as a Riding Horse. Therefore, he should be plaited, tail either pulled or plaited, with a blingy browband. He should be in a cavesson if possible but from what you've said if you have more control in a flash, go for it!
Now for you...canary jods, tweed jacket, navy/black hat, boots (long or short with gaiters), and as for the tie...whatever goes with your browband.
Pelham isn't neccisarily correct so if he's snaffle mouthed go for it.
Numnah should be black if black tack or brown if brown tack, and should be saddle shaped.

Don't think I've left anything out...if anyone more knowledgable with riding horses can correct me go for it...I show show hunters/M&M/event/SJ :p

Hope this helps...see you there!:)

Depends who I take!
Barney is in the ex-race horse class, best combination, 70 and if he's being good the 85.
And the rest depends on who else I take :) my jack is going to PC the day after so not competing!
