OK so imagine this... local showing show (although usually good standard and well supported) 1st class of the day int he inhand ring is Youngstock (1,2,3yr olds all breeds all genders)
I was entered with my 2 sec A fillies although only took one in as other handler didnt turn up (another story all together). All was going well, i did my trot round the ring, followed by a large (wbx looking) yearling colt, then followed by a 2yr traditional colt. The 2 colts then started to get a bit excited and the traditional one got away from its handler... he made a b-line for the other colt. Now got 2 colts trying to mount each other grrr. It started tog et rather dangerous so i asked the steward if i could leave the ring, he agreed i could for my safety. Next thing the 2 colts have jumped out the ring and are now galloping round the showground, it took the best part of 10 min to catch them, the entire time this was going on my filly stood quietly by the entrance to the ring.
Traditional colt never came back to the ring but wbx one did now blowing rather heavily and sweaty. We were both invited back into the ring to continue the class.
Personally I would think leaving the ring without permission would result in elimination?
Can you guess the result of the class??
ETA - Nobody (human or equine) got hurt by the horses when they were losse, thank goodness
