This might seem like a bizarre question...but what do people use to take their horse's poo home in when going to shows etc? Up to now I've been using a tubtrug and keeping it and poop scoop, plus water carrier etc on other side of the partition but I'm planning to remove the partition in my trailer and cross-tie so I won't have so much space. Any ideas? Any useful gadgets out there I don't know about?

Usually just leave it in the lorry and clean out when I get home. Occasionally have packed a pooper scooper and trug but then it stinks out the living!

An old Feedmark tub with a lid -it's big- I think it was for Prolamin. A little plastic dustpan and brush , ordinary domestic sort, to sweep up the droppings fits inside and with the lid on no smell in the back of the car.

Do you have a pony?! My Irish boy does elephant poos - they'd break a dustpan and brush! :eek3:

Tub trug and rubber gloves, which travels home in the back of the car - I need a better solution! :p

Mine is fussy about loading if there's still poo in the trailer. I can only imagine he likes to make sure there's plenty of room for the poo he does the second he's loaded...

I also have a trug. I usually put it in the back of the pickup but I can fit trug, water drum and shovel (tied up so it can't fall over) in the front of the trailer even with haynets and two on board.

Plastic bucket with a lid on (from Wilkos I think), lined with a bin bag. Sturdy plastic shovel lives in plastic bag alongside it in my 3.5's locker. At the end of the day, lift out the bin bag, pour out on to muck heap and reline bucket with a fresh bag.

Shavings bag and rubber gloves. I use a haynet to put the bag in and secure that to a tie on the front of the trailer. No smell that way.
