i am entering a novice working hunter class on my welsh sec d. What type of bridle is suitable for this discipline?

It depends under which rule book the show is run under. NPS its snaffle but any type of noseband. BSPS and PUK its any suitable bit, so you can ride in a double or pelham, 3 ring, etc as well as a snaffle, along with what ever noseband you like.

agree with Todmiester, society have different rules on biting. A good wise cavesoon looks best but you can use any type of noseband if needed, most commonly seen though is a wide cavesson with flash attachment or grackle

What a shame - the show world has changed so much. In days gone by we wouldn't be seen dead in the ring in anything but a nice wide cavesson.
