blimey - i'm in shock about how many people bung on boots?

as Weezy says, is there a specific reason?

my old lad brushed badly behind - so he had hind boots on more often than front ones. he also hunted with boots front and back - again, saw someone usuing only open fronted tendon boots and hte horse clipped the wire and it looked nasty.....

for comps i'll boot up, however my new mare hasn't had over reaches on with me yet!?

travelling - travel boots

hacking - bare / lunging bare (or pref bandages if anythign)

XC - not sure yet - my boots for my lad may not fit the mare - she's tiny!

I'll admit I err on the side of caution. I know he OR'es and also has sticky-outy bits on his front so OR boots are a must for me. He also clonks his legs when we jump so I prefer to boot him up. I've spent a fortune on vets bills for injuries incurred in the field so I armour his legs up a bit to try and prevent leg injuries and as for the schooling things they are a supportive measure as well as stopping injuries from brushing (especially on the back) if he is buggering about during lateral work.

But yes, I am over cautious and don't mind admitting it!
