I only use DIY livery because I love the hands on with my horse....... What about you?

I pay £26.00 pw for my horses DIY livery and get the use of a indoor Arena and paddocks and with miles of open space to go for a good Gallop........What do you pay etc and what do you get?

DIY and we pay £18 a week but by the time you put hay, straw turnout etc on top works out about £28

we get a school (with no drainage

your livery yard sounds fab espically for that price! whereabouts are you?
 
I have DIY as like you, I like to do it all myself (although pay for odd days of full livery when my job takes me away from home a few times a month).

I pay £30 a week, includes everything including haylege, use of small indoor and large outdoor plus xc course and miles of hacking on the farm.
 
I pay £15PW for stable & grazing which is 24/7 May-end of Oct & 1/2 day turnout from mid Nov-mid April, floodlit school & XC course during the late spring, summer, autumn.

On top of that i pay around a further £15PW for hay & straw at the height of winter which pays for 5 bales of hay & 1-2 bales of straw.

i too prefer hands on care but my lad is very much a 1person horse so he wouldnt like being on livery
 
At the moment I pay a huge amount! And thats DIY Assisted!!

Next week I will be on £15 a week DIY. Plus feed bedding and hay, but he will live out 24/7 unless really bad weather over winter. Will also pay £5 per time for school hire.
 
at the moment, i rent some stables, and some land from an old 'gentleman farmer' and pay £11 per horse, but am moving them shortly to livery yard on DIY, and will be paying £22.50 per horse for all yr turn out in a field of my own for 4 horses (its normally split into mares and geldings), an outdoor school, woodchip lunging paddock, lunging pen, feed room, rug room, tack room, and kitchen! Theres other stuff too, but can;t really be bothered to list it all!
 
I used to be on DIY livery on a lovely yard and was paying £32.50wk just for stable/field, plus £25month for hay from YO then my own feed, shavings etc..

Now course we had to move yards and couldnt find a suitable DIY - we are on full livery which is £433month but includes haylage, shavings, feed, grooming etc (no riding). It was a bit strange to begin with not doing my own things, but got used to it now, and now I go up every evening and just spend quality time with Star and riding etc without having to rush around

Working livery although it is more like DIY at times, we muck him out every evening, provide our own straw as I'm the only livery on it, the YO does horseage. Keep him on livery as it means that if we have a problem and can't get down then there is someone to do him and also so we don't have to go and muck out in the morning. We do however only get summer turnout (May-Oct), we can do winter as well but we have to go to a field that is about a 10-15 min hack away. All this for £40/week
 
well i have two liverys depending on where i am in the country. in warwickshire i'm on DIY we get our bedding, hay and feed included and use of all facilities (walker and 3 schools) and thats £45 p/w. In west sussex i am also on DIY we get all year turnout, use of a school and hay £20 p/w in winter and £15 p/w in summer

Spend hours a day with my boy but i dont like his routine to be upset if theres something i have to deal with in my life.

Ive got use of 6 schools (3 indoors, 3 outdoors. 1 of which is olympic sized), individual or group turnout, 100+ hectares of off road hacking, indoor stables, solarium and wash down area and horse walker.

They muck out and give hard feed.... haylage is charged extra per month. Bedding is included if you bed on straw... shavings are extra dependent on useage. Horse walker use everyday (they put them on for 1 hour) is £25 per month. You pay the grooms individually to turnout but its a very minimal amount considered as a "tip" to the girls. Can also have them ridden everyday for an extra charge.

Mine is turned out and on the horsewalker.. no riding

£20/week DIY. Stable and own paddock. Must be part stabled all year round. No electricity. Another stable for all my storage. Can buy in my own feed, hay, straw and shavings. Open forest 5 minutes hack up the road. Small yard (5 horses, 4 owners)

Stable, all year turnout, good hacking and horsewalker (in process of being errected)

Shavings,feed,haylage is extra and the shcool is £2 per hour although if you go in early enough during the week you dont have to pay. (the booking board starts at 8 and if I ride in the mornings I am at work by then

Mine is £15 for grass livery, £20 for grass and a stable, and £30 in the winter for stable, turnout and adlib haylage and straw. New school, 700 acres of hacking, jumps and good turnout. I thought it seemed a bit pricey, but maybe its not!
 
i pay £27 p/w for assisted livery... that means they do them every morning including weekends... and the price includes stable, indoor + outdoor school, lunge pen and good hacking!
 
We pay £17 a week for DIY. For that you get a stable, 2 fields of your own with just 2 horses in each (a couple do have 3 horses in), outdoor school including use of lights in winter and a field with show jumps in summer. Solid brick build stables too. There is talk of building another sand paddock just for turnout and lunging in. Only negatives are winter turnout. We can't use our summer fields and there are just 2 fields to use for winter and it is really for turnout to let them have a blast rather than graze in all day. And you can't use the sand paddock we currently have for turnout. Loads of good hacks round about. 5 mins from local show.
 
£27.50 per week for stable & grazing all year round, just gone up from £25. Unlimited use of 20m x 40m menage, 20m x 40m indoor school & jumping field with full set jumps. Easy reach of good off road hacking. Shavings, hay & feed all extra however you don't have to purchase through the YO if you don't want to.

Quite heavily the last few nights (I believe), with late night calving duties!!!!
 
£65 a week (I think prices have changed in the last month)

For that we have rental of a stable, although at the moment they are turned out 24/7 all feed and haylage and shavings are provided

Then monday-friday- horses are on working full livery, so are exercised in either RS or by staff. They are fed, hayed and there field poo picked

Then at the weekend, we hay and feed them etc. allthough they are still exercised because they are used on working livery
 
£20 a week for a stable, grazing and as much straw as required. 24/7 turnout from April - September, stabled at night the rest of the time (although limted turnout if the weather is really bad).

Livery includes use of an outdoor school and the lights and jumps, plus 400 acres of off road hacking, and use of a woodchip area for lungeing or as somewhere to stretch the horse's legs if they can't be turned out.

I think mine is quite good value

I'm on part livery and pay £480 a month! Yes it's extortionate but I'm on a good salary and know that if I have to work late my boy will get looked after.

Only riding/grooming and tack cleaning isn't included.

That said, if I start my own business he's going on DIY! x
