What type/thickness of polypropylene for home made haynets?

I'm being driven to dispair trying to find haynets that are "just right" (probably my own fault as I'm a bit picky).

I thought I'd try and make my own, but have no idea what would be the best string/cord to use.

Any ideas?

Go to a fisherman stores, they make nets, do you know how to make nets? That would be my problem.

baling twine is brilliant if you can get shorter lengths and you will find some great guides online on making hay nets. I save all my twine from the bales I use and will make nets out of it.
