I've had such an exciting evening! Started off as usual with riding & gym...but then I found out that the first chapter of one of my novels has won first place in a national competition!! I always think that my writing's

but they said it was the best entry they'd EVER had!!!

Now, why can't I get comments like that on my dressage sheet??

saving my liver!!! i'm of on my hols in 19 days for 3 weeks of solid drinking!!!!!!!! not really but not in the party mood at the mo as not got my tan yet!!!!! that and was up at 5.30am this mornin for work so never feel up to going out on a friday night!!!

I work in a control room for a water company, so apart from the general day to day admin. a large proportion of my job involves waiting for a main to burst (or some workman to dig through it - normally ones from the gas board!!), so I can direct resources to mend it and get as many customers water supply back ASAP. Consequently my job alternates between boring and mental!!!
