Hi everyone
I have taken the plunge and returned to horse ownership at the lovely ripe age of 52, as my husband also decided to jump on the band wagon we now own 2..... ouch !!
It's been years since I had a pony and my OH has never been involved with horses, apart from having a love for them. We certainly have our hands full with 2 mares both Welsh C/D sec x cob. Both well handled and lovely girls, one drives and the other is almost a complete project.
We're bust getting the paddock fencing secure and trying to get the ground as healthy as possible for this time of year. Looking to lay a hard area to use as limited turn out for coming winters. Rebuilding and painting the stables and fashioning a feed/tack room which I insist with also have a kitchen area for my Kettle.
It's all very exciting and this site will no doubt prove invaluable with all the wisdom everyone seams to have and are all so willing to share.
Thank you for having me :-D :):):)

Good luck with the new lifestyle. At least starting now you have already cracked the most difficult time of the year!

^^ this!

My first pony was tactically bought by my parents in late september... they figured that after one winter I would have had enough and that would be the end of the horse fad.

26 years later.... I have 4 horses :p

welcome to the forum, OP.
