Yes, he did, and I think that was the film. Not sure there was a pony in Kes at all, come to think of it. It is all a bit lost in the mists of my hazy memory.

There is a lot to be said for repeats on tv! I saw RWRF quite recently!

And the other film was called something like The Pony Raid. It was a story of a pony club camp who gallop over the moors protecting the "wild' ponies. The fairy tale part was that the police were also chasing the bad guys and cared about the ponies!

That is definitely a fairy tale! And I have just remembered (I’m a bit slow) who the Littlest Hobo was! I used to watch that every week, I absolutely loved it.
