Mare Owners: What websites do you use to research/choose stallions for your mares?

Stallion Owners: Where do you find you get the most interest from?

Thank-you

As websites go, Stallions Online seems to be one of the best broad spectrum stallion websites. From a magazine POV, Horse Deals is the best.

Stallions online. Or I just type in the name of a stallion I am interested in and go straight to their website. I find stallions by researching online, reading this forum and looking through comp reports/magazines.

Stallions online does seem really good, they come up one of the first when i googled 'UK Stallions'. I think horse deals does do really nice stallion issues.
I'm just getting organised for the 09 breeding season and looking into where is the best place to advertise. I've put one onto stallions online and will be getting intouch with horse deals next week.
Thank-you

I always buy the Horse Deals stallion issue (usually the March one) and keep it for future reference.
I also like to see all the stallion ads in H&H when they do their sport horse breeding specials.

On line, well I tend to just google the horse I am looking for to be honest. horse-gate.com has links to a lot of German stud farms so I have that in my favourites, and obviously can look up Trakehner stallions fomr the verband website.

Tend to go via word of mouth or personal recommendation.

Although my friend and I sent a mare to a stallion we saw advertised in Horsedeals

I often look at stallions online however I often find myself just looking at the first few pages, it would be nice if there was a good search facility in place.
I also look at stud-farms.com and search on google for local studs, stallions. I also think that you can come across some by attending competitions.

I've never looked on 'stud-farms.com' before, so thank-you for that. So far horse deals seems to be top mag and stallions online seems to be top website. Think we'll go for march-april-may editions of horse deals.
Thank-you

Stallions online and Horse Deals are the main places we are advertising this year. I will do H&H too, and I feel I have to, but tbh I've always spent a fortune advertising with them and never had a good response in comparison to other places.
