What weight is a leightweight rider?

Have googled every possible phrase of how to put this .. and nothing! So was wondering if anyone in the world of Horse & Hound could give me the answer?!

Found a horse i really like but they said its a leightweight carrier & im about 9st so i guess that would be okay

You are fine. I am sure they probably meant about 11 stone if it is used to describe what a lightweight horse carries.

Well, I am 7.5st, so would think I'm a lightweight rider but TBH a lightweight rider can weigh alot more, and still be light in the seat! A 7st rider can sit heavy in the saddle!

I think for hunters a light weight is to carry under 12 stone? So a ladies horse or a small man. But if it's a none hunter term then I would say prob under 10 - 11 stone, they prob just don't want huge men or robust built ladies turning up

I will ask for a lightweight rider when I sell my horse, and I mean 10st and under when I say that.
