Looks like a 7.5 ton, I doubt you would get it down to 3.5

Thats a 5T horsebox so you would need to have passed your test before 1997 to be able to drive it on lisence without having to take additional test

It doesn't say, I'd email them and ask but it should be under 7.5 tonne by the look of it so ok on a normal driving licence if that's your concern.

an LT50 should be a 5 tonne max wieght

It would need a C1 licence, or someone who passed driving test before 01./01/97

Volkswagen weights are really easy to work out they do an lt35 which is 3.5 ton, lt45 which are 4.5 ton the one pictured is a lt50 which makes it 5 ton. this one http://www.horsemart.co.uk/AdvertRef/HM8...seBoxDetail.asp
is an lt35 so ok to drive on a post 97 license.

My friend had one for a while it was actually a nice little lorry, as with most of the 3.5 ton she could only travel 1 horse and still be underweight but i think that is the same for most little lorries. Before you buy ask if you can take it unladen to the weigh bridge at least then you can be sure you will be ok.
As with the numbers for weights i think most lorries work like that so is always a good guide as to the weight i had a mercedes 609 lorry meant it was 6 ton and 90 horsepower.
